Andrés Gatica Gattamelati
Es Doctor en Filosofía por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y Candidato a Doktor der Philosophie por la Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. Actualmente se desempeña como Lecturer en la Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg y como investigador postdoctoral FONDECYT. Adicionalmente, desde 2026 es co-editor de Studia Heideggeriana. Desde 2016 ha sido beneficiario de trece becas y proyectos de investigación otorgados por la Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT), la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo (ANID), el Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) y el Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (FONDECYT). Ha realizado diversas estancias de investigación doctoral y postdoctoral en la Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (2017, 2018), la Universität zu Köln (2022), la Bergische Universität Wuppertal (2024) y la Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (2025), entre otras. Desde 2015 ha formado parte de la Comisión Directiva de la Sociedad Iberoamericana de Estudios Heideggerianos (SIEH), desempeñándose como Secretario de Comunicaciones entre 2016 y 2024 y, desde 2026, como Secretario de Publicaciones. Desde 2025 es miembro asociado del Institut für Transzendentalphilosophie und Phänomenologie de la Bergische Universität Wuppertal. En 2022 su tesis doctoral fue distinguida con el premio "Tesis de excelencia" otorgado por el Doctorado en Filosofía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Entre sus publicaciones recientes se cuentan «Las penosas atestaciones de la nada: el lugar metódico de la intencionalidad en “Was ist Metaphysik?”» (HYBRIS. Revista de Filosofía, 2025), «El rol metodológico de la ‘función existentiva’ en el entorno de Ser y tiempo» (Ideas y Valores, 2024), «Hacer experiencia del tiempo: fenomenología de la demora y de la tardanza en el primer Heidegger (1919–1930)» (Tópicos. Revista de Filosofía, 2024) y «La filosofía como contra-movimiento en la Begriffsbildung de Ser y tiempo» (Ideas y Valores, 2022). Actualmente se encuentra en proceso de publicación de los libros Existentiell Phenomenology in Heidegger’s Early Thought (1919–1927) e Impotence and Meaninglessness in Heidegger’s Metaphysics (1928–1929).
He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is a doctoral candidate at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and as a FONDECYT Postdoctoral Researcher. In addition, since 2026 he has served as Co-Editor of Studia Heideggeriana. Since 2016, he has been the recipient of thirteen fellowships and research grants awarded by the Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT), the Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo (ANID), the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), and the Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (FONDECYT). He has completed several doctoral and postdoctoral research stays at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (2017, 2018), the Universität zu Köln (2022), the Bergische Universität Wuppertal (2024), and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (2025), among others. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Estudios Heideggerianos (SIEH), serving as Secretary of Communications from 2016 to 2024 and, since 2026, as Secretary of Publications. Since 2025, he has been an Associate Member of the Institut für Transzendentalphilosophie und Phänomenologie at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. In 2022, his doctoral dissertation was awarded the Outstanding Dissertation Award by the Doctoral Program in Philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Among his recent publications are “The Poignant Attestations of Nothingness: the Methodical Role of Intentionality in ‘Was ist Metaphysik?’” (HYBRIS. Revista de Filosofía, 2025), “The Methodological Role of the ‘Existentiell Function’ in the Setting of Being and Time” (Ideas y Valores, 2024), “Making Experience of Time: Phenomenology of Delay and Lateness in the First Heidegger (1919–1930)” (Tópicos. Revista de Filosofía, 2024), and “Philosophy as Countermovement in the Begriffsbildung of Being and Time” (Ideas y Valores, 2022). He is currently preparing for publication two monographs: Existentiell Phenomenology in Heidegger’s Early Thought (1919–1927) and Impotence and Meaninglessness in Heidegger’s Metaphysics (1928–1929).
